Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Religious Education (B.R.E.) is focused on Christ and is developed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge of Scripture and skills in teaching. Learners build capacity to lead others thoughtfully through a combination of the theological and classroom aspects. The emphasis is not only theory but coursework that can be applied to actual ministry situations in congregations, religious schools, outreach ministries and non-profit ministries. Training encompasses strategies that carry out in different cultural and generational contexts as context is important. Graduates come out from the college not only with information but also with intentional spiritual development that are integrated in each term. Learning content is one thing, but the development of character is another. The experience will equip persons to both teach clearly and lead responsibly and serve faithfully wherever they are called, by helping them to tie doctrine to practice.

Roosevelt international university of Baptist focuses on developing students' readiness for church-based careers. Learners develop integrity, insight, and depth of faith as they explore in focused ways biblical texts, theological foundations, learning design, human behavior in educational contexts, mentoring, guiding communities, sharing faith, and instructional methods. This development helps them fulfill their callings in Christian teaching and service.

Program graduates typically become Christian educators or Sunday school leaders. Others assume positions to lead spiritual development in churches. Youth ministry opens up a way for others, as do the opportunities for teaching within a faith-based school. Church education co-ordination also fits in well, as does wider church leadership. There are also strong foundations for advanced study in theology here. This foundation is easily extended to further learning in ministry fields. Ahead also lie disciplines related to education and leadership.

A solid secondary education stands as the baseline - holders of a diploma or its equal need only begin here. Academic transcripts must follow, arriving alongside personal submission.
