Policy Statement

Roosevelt International University of Baptist (RIUOB) maintains a fair, consistent, and transparent refund policy in accordance with applicable Florida Department of Education requirements, including Rule 6E-1.0032(6)(i), F.A.C.

The refund policy is disclosed in the institution’s catalog, enrollment agreement, and applicable student disclosures.

All refunds are processed in compliance with state regulations and institutional policies to ensure equity and transparency for every student.

Nonrefundable Fees

The following fees may be designated as nonrefundable and will be disclosed to students before enrollment:

  • Application Fee
  • Admission/Processing Fee
  • Registration Fee

For Florida students, nonrefundable admission and registration fees will not exceed $150, as applicable under Rule 6E-1.0032(6)(i), F.A.C.

Tuition Refunds

When a student withdraws, RIUOB will calculate any applicable tuition refund on a prorated basis according to the portion of the program or academic term completed.

  • For programs charged for the entire program, the refund calculation will apply through the required minimum of 40% of the total program length.
  • For programs charged by academic term, the refund calculation will apply through the required minimum of 20% of the academic period.

RIUOB will not consider substantially all tuition earned when a student has completed only a minimal portion of the program or academic term.

Drop/Add and Cancellation

For term-based programs, RIUOB will provide a drop/add period of 10% of the academic term or one week, whichever is less.

Students who cancel enrollment within three (3) working days of signing the enrollment agreement will receive a full refund of tuition and fees, subject only to allowable charges for used, nonreturnable books, supplies, materials, or kits.

Withdrawal Date

The withdrawal date will be the earlier of:

  • The date RIUOB receives written notice of withdrawal; or
  • The date the institution determines that the student has ceased participation based on available institutional records.

Refund Processing

Eligible refunds will be issued within 30 days after RIUOB determines the student's withdrawal or cancellation date.

RIUOB applies this policy consistently and equitably to all students. Students receiving Title IV federal financial aid or veterans’ educational benefits will also be subject to applicable federal refund, return, and repayment requirements.
